Blog EntryYour Highways to Jerusalem Challenge for 2008Dec 31, '07 2:27 PM
for everyone
Dear All who have linked to the Highways project - and others reading this who might be considering to do so.

Thank you so much for your association with this Highway project with its clearly implied challenge and request - to get involved in a practical way that will reveal your zeal for Zion in your community -- not really the done thing in a multicultural, politically correct, society. Let me ask, though, can a belief in anything amount to something if you don't testify what you believe?
On the way to Zion
Let us not be judgmental about this though, in some countries believers in anything other than the common beliefs and traditions of their country, are forced underground due to persecution. It would especially apply to Israel. Put up an Israeli flag in any Muslim country and see what happens. Conversely, what would happen in basically all Western countries, including their Christian institutions, if you would want to show support specifically for Israel?  There is nearly a 100 percent chance that you won't get support, permissions, etc. due to the  plague of political correctness, policy, prioritizing, etc.

After my friend Koos Huyzer, a fellow South African (of European descent like me) and I had set up the Highways to Jerusalem project some three years ago - on Samuel's Mountain in Rama, that overlooks Jerusalem - I realized that it for the first time, after more than twenty years of serving Israel at that time, provided me with a viable concept to start a pro-Israel ministry outside Israel - should the Lord "arrange" a place for me to go, since I didn't and still don't have a home or anybody who would offer me one (without having to give up my ministry) outside Israel  - which is the way the Lord wants it, incidentally.

So I thought to myself, I'll put up a tent or something, put an Israeli flag on it - to get people to ask, "what's this about?" - and display some Jewish and Israeli material inside -- even sell some Israeli products to make a living. Oi va voi, as they say in Israel, but WHERE...???!!!

Would any church allow me to put it in their parking lot?? - and some of them, especially the charismatic ones, have huge parking lots in my country. My last church? NO, because their priority was, CCC, (church, country, continent -- no matter how hard I tried to convince the leadership that their vision was incomplete without Israel).

It is a problem everywhere, and I would like to ask you to test the waters in your area, to see how far you'll get if you start a pro-Israel ministry in an OVERT (PUBLIC) way - viz. putting an Israeli flag on a ministry structure in public view. You'll be blessed for trying to bless Israel!

It will be a miracle if you succeed, unless of course, no one can stop you if it's on your own premises. It will soon tell you what the attitude of your society is in general towards Jews and Israel. Should there be anti-Semites, or should general anti_Semitism develop (due to Israel being blamed for something), you might need to guard your "tabernacle" to prevent attempts of sabotage. That is, however, one of the aims of this project, namely to serve as a gauge of anti-Semitism.

If nothing happens, you can, of course, continue to develop your ministry, link with other "tabernacles" to establish a highway, link with the Natsal International webpage and its Multiply Blog, etc. More about how to grow your pro-Israel ministry in another post.

Hopefully your Highway "node" will be well established when real trouble starts for Jews and their supporters - and we all know we're headed that way. Then you can go into rescue mode, covertly, working together with others in the rescue chain or highway -  possibly with support and directives from Natsal International. At that time this blog will also be limited only to active first level contacts.

Grace upon you as you consider to take the lead to guide your community into the truth about Israel.
